Banana-Poi Bread at ‘Ōlena by Chef Ron Simon

We were at Hawaiian Chip Company to buy a box of freshly made taro chips, when my sons noticed the samples of banana bread on the counter at the Island Brew beverage bar. My hubby gave them a piece to sample and they kept on asking for more, so we walked across the street to ‘Ōlena by Chef Ron Simon to purchase a loaf.

The banana-poi bread is displayed on the table in front of you right as you walk in.

They also have fresh baked peanut butter cookies for sale.

My sons, who are extremely picky eats, loved the bread. They practically finished the entire loaf in one day! Maybe the secret is in the poi? In any event, we'll definitely be back to buy more bread, and try some of their mouth-watering items on the menu....
