Visit Denver: Hopdoddy Burger Bar

While walking through Downtown Denver, we passed Hopdoddy Burger Bar on our way to another restaurant for dinner.  Two words - HAPPY HOUR, and a quick google search was enough to convince me to turn around and go there for dinner.

It turned out to be a great last-minute decision!

They are known for their burgers, obviously, but they also make amazing shakes and fries!

Malted Root Beer Shake

S'mores Shake

OREO Cookies N' Cream Shake

Nutella Chocolate Pretzel Shake with Mount Gay Eclipse Rum

I couldn't resist getting a boozy shake.  The Nutella Chocolate Pretzel Shake tasted as good as all the ingredients sounded.  And add some rum - you have a winner!  It was so good, but too much for me to finish.
Parmesan Truffle Fries

Green Chile Queso Kennebec Fries

Hot Honey & Sage Sweet Potato Fries
Fries are just $5 during Happy Hour, and they are HUGE servings!  We ordered three different types of fries to share, and it was a lot for the five in our family.  I'm not a huge sweet potato fan, so my faves were the Green Chile Queso Fries and the Parmesan Truffle Fries.

Breakfast Burger

The Classic with Cheese

Thunderbird

Buffalo Bill
I had the Thunderbird - a chicken sandwich with applewood smoked bacon, Tillamook pepper jack, poblanos, avocado, pico de gallo, chipotle aioli, and lettuce.  It was really good.  The chicken was moist and tender, and the sandwich had all the right fixins'!

The Breakfast Burger consisted of a sausage, ham & beef grind, egg patty, applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, potato hay, and herb mayo.

The Buffalo Bill burger was a bison burger topped with applewood smoked bacon, Blue Whip, buffalo sauce, sassy sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

Everything was delicious, and I'm so glad we stopped at Hopdoddy!
