Visit Kona: Gypsea Gelato

While in Kona I had some amazing gelato at Gypsea Gelato.

The tiny shopped was packed with patrons on a sweltering day on the Big Island.  Regulars were picking up their favorite flavors, and first-timers (like us) had a hard time making up their minds!

For the Love of Chocolate + Mauka Trail

Just Chocolate + Strawberry Lilikoi Sorbet

I finally decided on For the Love of Chocolate (Brownies & Truffles) + Mauka Trail (Chocolate, Coffee, Macadamia Nuts).  It was some of the best gelato I ever had!  Maybe because it was a really warm day, but I ate up the gelato very quickly.  It was so good - I wanted more!  If you love chocolate, the For the Love of Chocolate flavor is a must, but the Mauka Trail was really good too. 

The gelato and sorbets are all handmade, and I definitely want to visit again to try more flavors.
