Hawaii Food & Wine Festival Welcome Reception #HFWF18

Yesterday kicked off the 8th annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival on Oahu!

With more than 150 world-renowned chefs, winemakers, mixologists, and culinary personalities, the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival puts a spotlight on Hawaii as a premier destination for not only its cuisine and its quality, locally-grown products, but also for its culture, people, and spirit, while supporting Hawaii's agriculture and community organizations.

At last night's Welcome Reception presented by The Howard Hughes Corporation, guests were treated to food and drink, as the excitement grew for another round of fabulous Hawaii Food & Wine Festival events on the island.

The tasty bites included:
Makaweli Beef Tenderloin Tataki Chirashi - Mark Pomaski / Moon and Turtle

Farmed & Wild - Colin Hazama / The Royal Hawaiian

Big Island Abalone Sisig, Sea Cucumber Chicharron, Sous Vide Egg Yolk - Roy Yamaguchi / Goen Dining + Bar

Thai Pomelo Salad - Jongkol Sucodt / Noi Thai Cuisine

Kunoa Beef and Pono Pork Dumplings / Lawrence Nakamoto - Mariposa at Neiman Marcus
Drinks were provided by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Hawaii, Jen Ackrill / SKY Waikiki, Kyle Reutner / Ko Hana Hawaiian Agricole Rum, Stella Artois, and FIJI Water.
Events continue through Sunday! You can purchase tickets here.
