Mina's Fish House & StripSteak Team Up for I`a & I`o - Surf & Turf Dinner

Last night I was invited to a fabulous meal at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina.

Mina's Fish House's Executive Chef Garrick Mendoza and StripSteak's Executive Chef Jamie Zager teamed up to offer a five course special menu with wine pairings.

The evening started off with welcome cocktails and passed small bites.

Upon being seated, we were served some of the house Lafa, and shortly thereafter the 5-course meal began.

Hawaiian Snapper Aguachile

Seared L.I. Duck Breast

Grilled Line Caught Shutome

35 Day Dry-Aged NY Strip Steak

Original Hawaiian Chocolate Pudding
The Hawaiian Snapper Aguachile was a refreshing dish with a bit of heat, and the Seared L.I. Duck Breast was tender with a flavorful, crispy skin, but my faves of the night happened to be one dish each from the different chefs (Chef Garrick made the "surf" dishes; Chef Jamie made the "turf" dishes).

The Grilled Line Caught Shutome was delicious, and the ssamjang sauce really made the dish shine.  The 35 Day Dry-Aged NY Strip Steak was perfectly cooked!

The Original Hawaiian Chocolate Pudding was amazing as well - even though I was absolutely stuffed from the fantastic surf and turf dishes, I ate the entire dessert!  The combination of flavors and textures was simply divine.

It was such a lovely evening, and the setting couldn't have been more stunning for the Surf & Turf dinner!

The next event will take place in February, so stay tuned!
