Visit Virginia: RT's Restaurant

I love Cajun food, so I couldn't wait to try RT's Restaurant while we were in Virginia!

Complimentary Bread

"Jack Daniel's" Shrimp with Lump Crab

Crawfish & Shrimp Beignets

Shrimp & Crab Etouffee

Chicken & "Comeaux" Andouille Gumbo
The "Jack Daniel's" Shrimp with Lump Crab, a specialty of the restaurant, was quite good.  I really liked the Crawfish & Shrimp Beignets, which were served with a garlic mayo.  So tasty!

The Chicken & "Coumeaux" Andouille Gumbo was delicious.  A hearty bowl of chicken and sausages, along with garlic-parsley rice, was so filling!

Caramel Custard

Creole Bread Pudding

We ordered two desserts - the Caramel Custard, RT's specialty, and Creole Bread Pudding, because I love bread pudding.

Surprisingly, even though I'm not a custard fan, I loved the custard more than I did the bread pudding!  The custard had a touch of Frangelico Liqueur, and was just so delicate and creamy.

The bread pudding was served with a Bailey's Irish Cream Toffee Sauce.  It was good, but the custard was just so much better.

A children's menu is offered for kids 12 and under, with nothing more than $6.95.
Kids Mac n Cheese with Penne Pasta

Popcorn Shrimp with French Fries

Service was great, and if you love Cajun food too, be sure to check out RT's Restaurant!
