Visit Maui: Na`ili`ili-Haele Hike

Our first hike on the road to Hana with Awapuhi Adventures was to Na`ili`ili-Haele, aka the Bamboo Forest.

This hike will take you past and to numerous waterfalls, but because we had such limited time, we went only to the first waterfall.

After a short walk through the bamboo forest, we came across a stream bed, which we carefully crossed.

After traversing through yet more bamboo, it wasn't long before we came across a gorgeous waterfall.

Heavy rains from previous days made the hike somewhat muddy, and the trek across the stream bed was rather slippery (I fell a really hard one), but it was worth it to see the beautiful waterfall!

If you have the time and are a little more adventurous and experienced, you can continue on to the other waterfalls, but the short hike (roughly 20 minutes one-way) is great for beginning waterfall chasers!
