For a Limited Time - Calabash Curry at House Without a Key at Halekulani

House Without a Key at Halekulani is such a fabulous place to dine.  The food, service, and views are all spectacular!

I was recently invited to try out a new menu item that will be available only for a limited time - Calabash Curry!

The Calabash Curry consists of an in-house blend of Indian curry, roasted seaweed, peas, and SPAM.

That's right, SPAM!
Don't knock it 'til you try it.  I wiped my plate clean!  It was that good!  Huge chunks of SPAM mixed in all that curry was delicious.  It was reminiscent of comfort food - something your parents or grandparents would whip up on the fly.

Although I prefer Japanese-style curry, I really enjoyed the complexity of flavors in the Indian curry.

The Calabash Curry is only available for a limited time, but those "in the know" will be in luck even after it's gone from the menu, as it will still be offered during lunch - but you have to ask for it, and only one batch will be made daily.

To complete my meal at House Without a Key, I enjoyed a refreshing Le Mint, and indulged in two desserts!

Le Mint

Chocolate Chiffon Cake

Pineapple Cheesecake
Head down to House Without a Key and give the Calabash Curry a try!
