Celebrating Mother's Day in Waikiki

I'm fortunate enough to live on the same street as a handful of awesome ladies who are close in age to me, and whose kids are close in age to my twin sons. A couple of months ago, us ladies decided to plan on treating ourselves to a spa day on the day before Mother's Day (since we would all be busy with our own families on the actual day).  After all, every mom needs to hit the RESET button every now and then for the sake of her kids, and significant other!

Our day started off with 50 minute massages at the MOANA LANI SPA at the Moana Surfrider. We enjoyed the ocean view relaxation room and whirlpool, both of which overlook Waikiki beach. Since it was Mother's Day weekend, we each received a complimentary glass of champagne!

When the heat from the whirlpool got too much for us, we took showers at the spa, left our belongings in the lockers (spa services come with in/out privileges for the day), and walked across the street to YAUATCHA WAIKIKI for some drinks and dim sum. Yauatcha has a number of cocktails and dim sum selections for $8 and $6 respectively on their Flow & Prosper menu (which is more commonly referred to as their happy hour menu).
