Visit New York: Times Square

Our visit to New York City would not be complete without a stop in Times Square.

It's quite a spectacle - hundreds of people, neon signs, dazzling lights...

and lots of people dressed up in costume trying to solicit money for a photo opp.

We shopped, ate dinner (and ice cream!), and took lots of photos (not with costumed people) in Times Square.

Times Square spans several streets, but it's most famously known for the "Bowtie" intersection, which is often showcased in photos, TV, and online.

Despite all of the people (approximately 300,000 people trek through the Times Square Bowtie on any given day), we felt rather safe (there were lots of police officers around).

I can't wait to return one day!
