Makana Market & Deli

The decor is very rustic, which is quite different from the surrounding neighborhood of Kaka'ako, which is hip, artsy, and trendy.

Since Makana Market & Deli specializes in venison from Molokai, we had to try ....

a trio of venison tacos. Very spicy! But it came with a decent amount of meat and minimal fillers.

The bolognese was really good! Definitely my favorite of the two dishes we tried.

What I really wanted to try, but was not on the menu today, was the pappardelle with beef and bacon that I had seen on Instagram. Guess I will be back again soon to try it.

p.s. They do have non-venison items on the menu.

Open for breakfast and lunch, and dinner by reservation only.
