Visit Louisville: Merle's Whiskey Kitchen

I wanted to try more whiskey while in Louisville, so on our final day in the city, we went to Merle's Whiskey Kitchen on Whiskey Row.

We opted for a taste of a couple of hand-selected barrels - Russell's Reserve Staff Hand Select, and Old Forrester Hand Select.

We also ordered a number of dishes to share.
Mary Lou's KY Cornbread

Chips & Queso

Chicken Tenders

Lip Smack'n Mac & Cheese

Mini El Jefe Nachos

Green Chili Pork Taco
Everything was delicious!  My faves included the chicken tenders and the nachos.

Tuesdays through Fridays from 11am to 2pm, customers can order the Whiskey Kitchen Lunch Special, which includes two items from a select menu for just $6.99!  For the special, we chose the award-winning Green Chili Pork taco, and a mini El Jefe Nachos.

Our server was very friendly and very helpful when it came to selecting whiskeys to try, but it took a very long time for us to get our food, and even the check.  A couple on a table next to us did not appreciate the lengthy wait for food, and they ended up leaving before any food was delivered to them.

Despite the slow service, we enjoyed the food, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
