Visit Napa Valley: Ad Hoc

Last year I was fortunate to dine at the prestigious French Laundry and this year I was able to knock another one of Chef Thomas Keller's Yountville restaurants off my list.

Sunday brunch at Ad Hoc was my favorite meal in Napa Valley during this trip!  I was jumping for joy when I found out that Sunday's brunch prix fixe menu featured Ad Hoc's famous buttermilk fried chicken and waffles.  Preceded with an arugula salad and followed by carrot cupcakes, I thought the 3 course meal served family style was a decent deal at $35 per person.  We also had the option to add on eggs or shrimp cocktail.

The casual restaurant has a great vibe and energy.  Besides brunch on Sundays, Ad Hoc serves dinner 5 nights a week (closed Tuesday and Wednesday) and features a daily-changing four-course menu of classic American dishes.
