Mauna Loa's New Honey Sriracha and Mango Chipotle Macadamia Nuts Review

Disclosure: Complimentary products received for review purposes.

I frequently buy Mauna Loa products for omiyage.  In fact, for my recent trip to the East Coast, I bought several boxes of Mountains (Milk Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts), as well as several bags of Milk Chocolate Toffee Macadamias to give as omiyage.

I love eating the products too.  The Milk Chocolate Toffee Macadamias can be addicting, and the Milk Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts are just so yummy!

Mauna Loa recently introduced two new macadamia nut flavors - Honey Sriracha and Mango Chipotle!

I love spicy, so I couldn't wait to to give these two flavors a try!

And guess what - if you are not a fan of spicy, you can still enjoy these new Macadamia Nut flavors, because it turns out that the spice is very mild!  I thought this was great, because I initially expected to be able to just eat 1 or 2 at a time in fear of the macadamia nuts being too spicy. What you get with both varieties is a whole lot of flavor, combined with the roasted and rich macadamia nuts, which means you can snack on a bunch at a time.

The Honey Sriracha was my favorite of the two new flavors.  A nice combination of salty and sweet, the macadamia nuts were difficult to stop eating!

The smokiness of the chipotle and the sweetness of the mango really shone through in the Mango Chipotle variety.

The Macadamia Nuts are great for a filling, tasty snack, and I already have been thinking about ways to incorporate them into recipes!

Both of the new varieties of Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts come in re-sealable 11oz bags, and are currently available exclusively in Hawaii.

To celebrate the new flavors, Hawai’i residents can enter to win a trip for two, including airfare and hotel accommodations, to attend the biggest music festival in Las Vegas! For official rules and entry guidelines, visit www.maunaloa.com/crunch*. Fans can also register through Mauna Loa’s Facebook page or at select events throughout Hawai’i. The grand prize winner will be announced the week of July 10, 2017.
