Scratch Kitchen and Meatery Dinner Service To Begin in Mid-June

Earlier this week I attended Frolic's Super Secret Supper Club that featured Scratch Kitchen and Meatery.  We enjoyed some of Chef Brian Chan's signature Southern and Creole comfort food dishes.  Dinner was amazing and I am looking forward when the restaurant begins regular dinner service in mid-June.

That night we started with a refreshing watermelon salad.  The salad was immediately followed by the yummiest brussels sprouts and boudin fritters.  Before we could finish those, a handsome platter overflowing with keawe smoked steak tartare and smoked salmon deviled eggs was placed before us.  Next, were fried oysters and spicy shrimp and andouille etoufee over garlic rice.  Then came the creole mustard roasted pork tenderloin, beans, and green chili smoked mac and cheese.  Finally, more meat: 12 hour smoked butt served with crispy potato cakes.

Supper turned out to be a feast!  While everything was delicious, my must try would be the green chili smoked mac and cheese.  It's got just the right amount of kick to elevate it from your standard mac and cheese.

Currently, Scratch is serving brunch and lunch at their locations in Chinatown and South Shore Market.
