Bar Leather Apron

My husband and I have wanted to check out Bar Leather Apron for the longest time, but short of monthly date nights at his favorite restaurant we don't get out much together sans kids.  But as we were finishing up dinner at JJ Dolan's, I noticed we had half an hour to spare before our daughter's dance performance and thought here was our chance to check out the intimate cocktail bar.

Established in 2015 by co-owners Tom Park and Justin Park, Bar Leather Apron is located on the mezzanine level of the Topa Financial Center and offers finely crafted cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.  They are open Monday through Friday from 4pm-12am and Saturdays from 5pm-12am.  Free validated parking is available in the Topa Financial Center garage.

We were lucky enough to snag the last two seats at the bar which only seats six.  If you go, make reservations for the bar because you'll love your front row view of your drink being hand crafted.  I went with the Yuzu Sour - Tanqueray Gin, Yuzu, Wasanbon Sugar, Bergamot Orange, Lemon, Lime, Angostura Bitters, and Egg White.  I loved the texture that the egg white added.  Slightly sweet, it was a wonderful cocktail.

The set up for my Yuzu Sour.

Loved the fancy glass used for my husband's cocktail.

Bar Leather Apron also offers a few pupu selections to complement their cocktails and they are home to one of the most extensive whisky selections in Hawaii.  We both loved our experience and look forward to returning!
