The Rice Place

Located in the Imperial Plaza next door to Flour + Butter is The Rice Place serving lunch and dinner.  The lunch menu consists of a selection of salads, lunch sets, and specials as well as several quick grab items like span jun musubi, mini bento, and rice paper rolls.

My friends and I arrived a little before opening and joined others waiting for the restaurant to open.  There are about 6 or 7 tables so the restaurant can fill up fast.  I had the Thai spice pork skewers that came with a choice of rice and soup of the day.  I upgraded to sticky rice and the portion was very generous.  The Thai spice pork skewers were pretty tasty, but I thought would have been more exciting if they were spicy.

A nice place for lunch if you have rice on the brain.  Great service, validated parking, and closed on Sundays.

Thai Spice Pork Skewers $11.99 (sticky rice +$2)

Pesto Boat Noodles (usually served only for dinner)

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner ($12)
