Visit Maui: Vanta Cafe

After arriving in Maui while on our most recent trip, everyone was hungry, so we went to Vanta Cafe (aka B&S Vanta Coffee Hub) for brunch.

It's a tiny shop, with just four tables, and seats along the window for four.  When we arrived, every single table was taken, including the biggest table, which two people occupied.  We didn't mind sitting along the window, but one of the owners kept apologizing while bringing us another chair. The two people occupying the big table were very nice, advising us they would be done before our food arrived, and we told them it wasn't a problem.

As we perused the menu, the chef came out with some fruits!

The chef was very friendly, chatting with my middle son.  Finally we ordered:
Denver Omelette with Hash Browns

French Toast, Bacon & Sausage

Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, and Eggs

Kim Chee Fried Rice with Scrambled Eggs

I opted for one of the specials - Kim Chee Fried Rice with Scrambled Eggs.  I loved the fried rice, which was also full of SPAM.  The fried rice was spicy, and the kim chee was evenly distributed throughout, which I appreciated since I'm not a fan of kim chee on its own.

My middle son loved his Denver Omelette, which was full of ham, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and cheese.  It was a huge omelette - I think he had the biggest meal out of everyone!

Portions are nicely-sized, prices are reasonable and service is very friendly!
