Haleiwa Bowls

After a fun surfing adventure in Haleiwa, my two kids and I needed some lunch.  "Acai bowls?" I asked and they responded with an enthusiastic "YES!"  I headed straight to Haleiwa Bowls, located across from Matsumoto's Shave Ice.

I love all kinds of acai bowls, but they can prove to be tricky for my daughter, who is quite the picky eater.  She prefers her acai bowl to be frozen and more like sorbet rather than the ones that are softer in texture.  Luckily, Haleiwa Bowls serves both.  They offer a Blend Bowl (an organic blend of acai, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas) and a Surf Bowl (organic acai sorbet made from acai puree).  Both bowls come in two sizes and are topped with hemp granola, fresh bananas, raw coconut flakes and honey.  They offer an array of additional toppings you can choose to customize your bowl.

Haleiwa Bowls also offer smoothies, Kombucha on tap, and serve cold brew coffee.  A perfect pick me up after a day at the beach.
