Visit Kauai: Gaylord's

Located in what was once Gaylord Parke Wilcox's home on Kilohana Plantation, Gaylord's has been frequently recommended by a former co-worker who lives on Kauai.  Our family decided to give the restaurant a try since it was right next to the Kauai Railway Plantation depot.

I had the Roasted Chicken Crepes.  Roasted chicken and brie-stuffed crepes were served in a mushroom cream sauce, along with a side salad.  I thought the chicken was very bland, but the mushroom cream sauce was delish.

My husband loved his Reuben sandwich, which consisted of pastrami, gruyere, sauerkraut with apples and onions, and thousand island dressing.

Kids meals are $7 each (chicken $3 additional when added to the pasta).

Although I was underwhelmed by my meal, service was great, and so was the ambience, and overall Gaylord's was a lovely place for lunch.
