Kau Kau Grill

Fried Saimin Combo (with BBQ Baby Back Ribs) - $10

Kau Kau Grill is no newcomer to the food scene in Hawaii.  They've been roaming the streets of Oahu since 2013, wowing foodies with their pulehu style short ribs, garlic shrimp, and baby back ribs.  But what is new is that they now have a storefront in Mapunapuna, where you can get your Kau Kau Grill fix Monday through Friday from 10 am - 2:30 pm.

Their best seller is their BBQ baby back ribs.  The ribs are slow cooked to perfection, and the meat falls off the bone. The homemade BBQ sauce is tangy with a hint of sweetness - super ono.

Most plates are $10 and include your choice of spaghetti style mac salad or tossed salad (the dressing is delicious) and a scoop of rice.  Two-choice combo plates are $15.

If you can't get down to Mapunapuna, you can often find them at Makers and Tasters near Kewalo Basin.
