Sunday Brunch at Hoku's at the Kahala Hotel & Resort

Hoku's Sunday Brunch buffet at the Kahala Hotel and Resort is one of my favorites and also one of the priciest at $75 per person and $37.50 per child aged 6-12, not including tax or gratuity.  We recently dined at Hoku's for their special Mother's Day brunch which was priced a little higher.

The all-you-can eat buffet line starts with an assortment of sashimi and sushi.  Next, you will find delicious Maine lobster, Goose Point oysters, shrimp, and mussels chilled on ice.  Also available are an assortment of tempura and salads as well as the buffet main courses of butter poached king crab legs, miso glazed butterfish, Sunday rib roast, oven roasted New Zealand rack of lamb, and Hoku's chicken.

You can indulge in breakfast items like traditional smoked salmon eggs benedict, breakfast meats, banana French Toast, baked almond croissants and other assorted pastries.  The dessert table is amazing with an assortment of macarons, cakes, tarts, and complete with a chocolate fountain.  Do not miss the coconut shortbread!

Special house juices are included with brunch as well as their signature ahi poke musubi and soft shell crab pasta that is delivered to your table.  You can also order eggs and omelets through your server.  For $15 more per person, you can turn your brunch into a mimosa brunch!  The additional fee includes a mimosa with two refills.

My family enjoys the brunch here as we don't usually see offerings like lamb and lobster at other brunch buffets.  The service is good, but not exceptional as the small restaurant is usually pretty crowded and servers are very busy.
