Bliss Closet Waikiki Launches First Collaborative Project with Alter Ego

Just a few months after opening their store Bliss Closet in Waikiki, owners Yumi Inaoka and her son Sho recently introduced a T-shirt jointly designed with Mike MacDonald of the popular local brand Alter Ego.  The May 1 release of the shirt is slated to be the first of a series of shirts featuring collaborative efforts between the new boutique and other local designers.

Printed in Hawaii by Alter Ego, the T-shirt features the word “Aloha” juxtaposed over a wavy line symbolizing the ocean.  Alter Ego’s iconic afro character logo is placed on the right sleeve, while Bliss Closet’s logo is found on the back.  Four colors—grey, pink, white, and black—are available, and each shirt is priced at $34 plus tax.  The design will be available for a limited time, until July 31, 2016.

“Part of our plan was to work with local designers and create collaborative designs on clothing.  Our close relationship with the designer of the popular street brand Alter Ego enabled us with just that opportunity, and we look forward to creating other looks with the brand, as well as other local designers,” says Yumi Imaoka, President of Bliss Closet Hawaii.

Bliss Closet Hawaii is open seven days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 365 days a year.  For more information, call (808) 926-8882.
