Nitrogenie Hawaii

When I heard Nitrogenie was going to open up in Hawaii at Ala Moana Center, I was super excited to try it out since I sure love ice cream, and I wanted to see first-hand how the process worked.

A special Nitrogenie anglaise and a variety of ingredients are mixed up in a big bowl to create a creamy concoction right before your eyes.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Brittle

Nutella Ella Ella

Vanilla Beanie
Fortunately when we went to Nitrogenie, there were only a handful of people ahead of us.

It was neat to watch the ice creams being made, but I was taken aback by how quickly the ice cream melted.  I ordered 3 cups (a little pricey at $4.99 for a regular size), and by the time I got the third cup of ice cream, the first two cups were melting like crazy and making a mess all over the counter.

There is no seating in the small shop, so I rushed outside to find my kids, all the while with ice cream dripping all over my hands.

The ice cream was good - my kids loved it, and it was really creamy.

I personally like good old fashioned ice cream better, but I'm glad I gave Nitrogenie a try!
