Lemon Bars Recipe

Once in a while I'll bake lemon bars.  I usually use a recipe a former co-worker gave to me, but I decided to try out a new recipe recently.

I found "The Best Lemon Bars" recipe on Allrecipes.com - it very well could be "the best."
It was tart, yet sweet, and lusciously lemony!

Lemon Bars (recipe credit Allrecipes.com)

Ingredients:
  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 c flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 2 lemons, juiced
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the butter, 1/2 c sugar, and 2 c flour.
  • Press into the bottom of a parchment-lined 9x13-inch pan.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • While the crust is baking, mix together the 4 eggs, 1 1/2 c sugar, 1/4 c flour, and lemon juice.
  • Pour over the baked crust.
  • Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
