It's Ono - Waipahu

It's Ono recently held a grand re-opening to celebrate the change of name from the former Tiano's Restaurant in Waipahu.

The menu is the same - serving local and Filipino dishes, and I actually ended up ordering the same thing I ordered when I visited Tiano's - Chicken Katsu Curry.

Chicken Katsu
Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf
Kids Mac & Cheese with Fries
Kids Vanilla Ice Cream
Unfortunately, just as our last visit (to Tiano's), they didn't have any curry (our server told us it's one of the most popular dishes so they often run out)!  She asked if I would like Brown Gravy instead, and I said okay.

The Katsu was good, but it wasn't seasoned well.  However, the portion was very generous, and I had more than half of the katsu to take home for leftovers.

My husband enjoyed the Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf, which was a special of the day.

Kids meals are reasonably-priced at $6.99 (Baby Back Ribs are $7.99), and include a drink and dessert.

Although I was disappointed that they didn't have Curry again, overall the food was good, and the service was excellent.
