Visit Seattle: Brunch at 500 Feet at SkyCity Restaurant

When visiting Seattle, everyone knows to stop at Space Needle.  My friends wanted to make it even more memorable so we decided to dine at SkyCity, a revolving restaurant giving gorgeous views of Seattle at 500 feet!  The best part was that the visit to the observation deck was free with our meal.

We checked in at the SkyCity desk about 15 minutes before our reservation and was taken to the observation deck while we waited for our table.  I'm happy we decided to dine there and that we didn't have to pay a separate fee for the observation deck.  We had gone to the Sky View Observatory the day before and would have skipped the Space Needle observation deck otherwise.

On Fridays, the restaurant offers a brunch menu at $50 per person.  I was expecting subpar food, but my meal was excellent.  From the appetizers I chose a raspberry and nutella waffle.  The waffle had the perfect texture!  I could have easily eaten more.  From the entrees, I selected the eggs benedict with back bacon, soft poached farm eggs, dungeness crab, brioche, citrus emulsion, and herbed breakfast potatoes.  It was really delicious.  I ended the yummy meal with the seasonal cobbler, which happened to be strawberry rhubarb (yum!) and ice cream.

Everyone gets a muffin!

Starting off with a delicious waffle.

My Benny paired perfectly with an OJ and a grapefruit mimosa.
The alcoholic beverages are not included in the set brunch cost.

So lucky that strawberry rhubarb was in season!

You can definitely feel the restaurant slowly moving so be prepared if you are sensitive and prone to motion sickness.  A photographer also comes around to take your table's picture at no charge and you can view the pic on line.  Our server was excellent.  Really friendly and went out of his way to ensure we had the best time.

Our table had a great view of the city!
For parties of 5 or more, you'll need to call the restaurant directly to make a reservation.  Otherwise you can make a reservation using Open Table.
