Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach's New Pretzel Bread Sandwiches

On Friday I had a chance to try out Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach's New Pretzel Bread Sandwiches ($7 each), which are being offered at the Gallery Bar throughout the summer.

Ham and Cream Cheese

Smoked Sausage

Spinach and Feta

From top to bottom - Yellow Mustard, Creamy Pesto Aioli, Honey Mustard
Despite the ever-growing popularity of pretzel bread, I had yet to try a sandwich made with pretzel bread, so I was eager to taste these creations.

I love the Spinach and Feta - the crispy, cheesy pretzel bread was stuffed with soft, rich feta and spinach to create a delicious sandwich.  The most popular sandwich of the afternoon seemed to be the Smoked Sausage, which is infused with Cheddar, but the Ham and savory Cream Cheese earned positive remarks as well.

The sandwiches can be served with ketchup, yellow mustard, honey mustard, or a creamy pesto aioli.

The Pretzel Bread Sandwiches make an ideal grab-and-go meal, and the Gallery Bar even offers insulated picnic bags which include two sandwiches, two bottles of water, and two bags of potato chips for just $30 - perfect for a day at the beach or park!

The Gallery Bar also offers an assortment of appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, desserts, and more. We were able to try the mushroom soup (so creamy and delicious, with lots of mushrooms in each spoonful), the bruschetta (served with flatbread and crackers - very tasty), and Mojitos (I had a virgin Mojito - so refreshing!).

Tomato Bruschetta
Mojitos
The Gallery Bar's space is very modern and inviting, and it's open 24/7!

The hotel also offers complimentary lei-making from 3:00pm to 4:00pm every Friday, as well as a Wine Tasting for just $18 every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Whether you're staying at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach and the midnight munchies hit, or you're in the area meeting up with friends for pau hana drinks, stop by the Gallery Bar, and don't forget to try the new Pretzel Bread Sandwiches (and Mushroom Soup and Mojitos)!
