Burgers and Things at Cafe Bronco

Not too long ago I was sent an article that mentioned Burgers and Things, which is currently operating out of Cafe Bronco.  I read the article, and read some posts/reviews online.  Since my husband loves burgers and the menu looked good, and various places online said that it's basically okay to take the kids for lunch (but not late at night), we decided to take the family there since we were in the area.

We entered the establishment, and there were people setting up for a retirement party.  Every single table except for one was covered and decorated.  There was no sign on the door advising that the restaurant was closed for a private event, so I asked the bartender if we could sit at the empty table, and she said sure.

We then proceeded to order our food.

I ordered the fried rice, and it was pretty good. A little too garlicky for my taste, but overall it was tasty, and it was a very generous serving. My kids loved the chicken katsu, and my husband liked the burger (he did mention he wished it came with fries).

The garlic bread was yummy - we all enjoyed it.  I loved how it was stuffed with cheese!

Service was excellent, and the food was good. Although the employees were great to our family, we did feel out of place because, after all, it is a bar, and we were the only people in there with the exception of a few people at the bar and the people setting up for a party.

However, I wouldn't hesitate to try other items from the menu, but next time I'd go without the kids, or just order takeout.
