Lunch at Doraku Sushi

I've been to Doraku Sushi several times for dinner and Happy Hour, but I recently went to the Kaka`ako location for lunch for the first time, where I met Nat for some much-needed catching up.

House Salad and Miso Soup

Negi Toro Don
Chicken Teriyaki
Vanilla Ice Cream Tempura
Nat had the Negi Toro Don, which she said she usually orders whenever she goes to lunch at Doraku. It sure looked yummy (but not yummy enough for me to dare to try).

I had the Chicken Teriyaki, which was very flavorful.

We shared the ice cream tempura for dessert. Vanilla ice cream was wrapped in pound cake, cooked tempura-style, and topped with fruit and caramel sauce. It was good!

Service was great and so was the food.

I was surprised how empty the restaurant was, but I'm glad I got to try Doraku for lunch, since now I know it's a great spot for dinner, happy hour, and lunch!
