Holoholo Bar & Grill - The Bar Experience

A friend had suggested we check out Holoholo Bar & Grill for a night of drinks and pupus. Even though Nadia had posted about her brunch experience, I didn't know that there was a separate restaurant area and a separate bar area. I had made reservations, and upon arrival we were seated in the restaurant.

Seeing several families in the restaurant had me thinking that my friend chose an odd place to have some pupus and drinks. It wasn't until another friend showed up did he tell us that there was a separate bar area, which we eventually moved to, and we couldn't wait to eat!
From top left clockwise: Spicy Smoke Meat Fly Lice, Smoked Meat and Wilted Kale Salad, Hawaiian Poutine, Hot Sushi Tower
The food was awesome.

The fried rice was flavorful and had a nice spicy element because of the smoked meat. The smoked pork on the kale salad, which was sauteed with garlic and sweet onions, was delicious. I love poutine, and really - how can you go wrong with French fries and gravy? And the Hot Sushi Tower, which is basically a deconstructed California Roll, was good.

Service was great, and the Holoholo Bar side was definitely a great spot for pupus and drinks!
