Visit Vancouver: The Bakehouse

On our first day in Vancouver we decided to eat breakfast near the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, and we ended up in a delightful restaurant in a charming village - The Bakehouse in Edgemont Village.

As one would expect, you can find all sorts of baked goods at The Bakehouse, but I was looking forward to a hot breakfast.

English Rosti Breakfast
I had the English Rosti Breakfast, and everything was savory and delicious.  Rosti is a Swiss version of hash browns, and it was pretty good.

My kids loved the colorful Rainbow French Toast, and my husband ate everything up on The Works plate.

The ambience was very homey, with a mish-mash of artwork and books throughout the restaurant.  The kids were given sheets of paper and crayons to keep themselves busy.

The service was great, and the kind lady who worked there even gave my kids some complimentary cookies as we were leaving!

Breakfast at The Bakehouse was a great way to start our Vancouver trip!
