Cafe Julia

I recently met a friend for lunch at Cafe Julia, a place I had wanted to try for a long time.
Garlic Chicken Cole Slaw Sandwich with Garlic French Fries
The Emerson Salad with Chicken

Bread Pudding

We sat outdoors next to the pool, and the service seemed quite slow, however our server was very friendly.

I thought the food was good.  I had the sandwich, and the chicken was very tasty.   Because the sandwich was so large, I ended up eating mostly just the chicken, and I had a lot of cole slaw and bread leftover.  The garlic fries were delicious.

My friend and I shared the bread pudding, which I also thought was very delicious.

Despite the food being good, I thought everything was way overpriced.

For the 3 items pictured above, plus a cup of coffee my friend ordered, the total was FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS before tax and tip (salad + chicken = $22, sandwich + garlic fries = $17.50, bread pudding = $9, coffee = $4.00).

The ambience was nice, the food was good, and the company was great, but I definitely think the prices were way too high.
