Moanalua Gardens Park

Last year Nat was gracious enough to spend a Saturday morning with our family at Moanalua Gardens Park to take photos of the boys for our holiday cards.

She did a great job, but since I bought a new camera earlier in the year (and didn't want to bother Nat again), I decided to try and take my own holiday photos, and we once again went to Moanalua Gardens (professional photographers are supposed to apply for a permit to shoot on the grounds).

Not only is Moanalua Gardens a popular place for families to take their holiday photos, but it's also a very popular tourist attraction (busloads of Japanese visitors arrive to take photos of the famous Hitachi Tree).  It's also common to see bunches of school kids during the week have lunch there, and the park is simply a great place to have a family picnic or let your kids run around and release energy.

On the grounds you'll also find a koi pond, a taro patch, a snack shop, and a gift shop.

Moanalua Gardens Park is a great place to explore or simply relax at!
