Kapolei Electric Light Parade

Last weekend we took the kids to watch the Kapolei Electric Light Parade.

We arrived in Kapolei just after 5pm (the parade was scheduled to start at 6pm), and after finding parking, we found an open space on the sidewalk across from Walmart, near the beginning of the parade.

The parade started just after 6pm and lasted for about 30 minutes.

The kids were so excited to see lots of vehicles strewn with lights (trolleys, ambulances, etc.), as well as appearances by the Grinch, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Star Wars characters, and of course, Santa Claus (click on photos to enlarge)!

One thing that we were not prepared for was all of the candy that was given to us.

The kids were given (and thrown) so much candy, that it was like Halloween all over again!

It was a fun parade and we can't wait for next year's!

  1. Wow! Your parade was a lot more impressive than our daytime parade and you got better candy too. :-)
