Off-Island - Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel

We recently tagged along with DH on a business trip and stayed at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel.

We had a 2 Double Beds room ($179/night), and I thought the room was nice.

The beds were comfortable, there was a decent-sized work area (although it was quite difficult to find available outlets for chargers), and the room had a good view of Downtown LA (nothing spectacular, but a nice view of the surrounding buildings, which was exciting for my boys to see since in Hawaii we don't have tall buildings like they do in Downtown LA).

Although the room is kind of small for a family of our size, we didn't mind since we only stayed there for a night.

The hotel is also adjacent to Macy's Plaza (there's a Macy's, Bath & Body Works, and several other shops), as well as a food court. Most of the restaurants in the food court close fairly early, but there's also many other restaurants within walking and driving distance.

There's also Bally's Fitness Center, a gift shop which sells coffee, water, pastries, and other items (I thought the pastries and bottles of water were very reasonably-priced considering the location), and bar and restaurant on site.

Although the room itself was a bit pricey and the parking was EXPENSIVE ($28/day!) the staff was very courteous and helpful, and if you have to do business in Downtown LA, this is a great hotel.
