Tango Contemporary Cafe

One of the nice things about the neighborhood we live in is being able to walk to restaurants. One of the restaurants we can walk to is Tango Contemporary Cafe in the Hokua building.

We received a gift card for Christmas, so we went all out with a couple glasses of wine, an appetizer, two entrees and dessert.

The hamakua mushroom appetizer was good, but too rich for my taste. The Asian style five spice braised beef is my favorite entree on the menu. My husband tried the pork chop and said it was okay but would not order it again. For dessert we had the creme brûlée. We had to send the first one back because half of it was liquid. I think you're better off ordering one of their other desserts like the strawberry mango crumble.
