Paesano Ristorante Italiano

There are not a lot of "fine dining" restaurants west of Nuuanu, and so when Paesano opened in Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center in 2008, I'm sure the folks on the leeward side of the island welcomed it with open arms.

The service is great, the menu is extensive, and the quality is there. It is perfectly suited for a romantic evening for two, or a gathering amongst friends.

On this particular visit, @sagemom ordered the small portion of the chicken alla saltimboca romana ($18.90) and I ordered the small portion of the shrimp marinara ($20.90). I had a mild case of sticker shock over the prices, especially since I was still hungry after eating everything on my plate except for the garnish. But luckily we were able to get another loaf of their delicious bread free of charge, to fill up the remaining space in my stomach.
