Kapi`olani Medical Center Celebration Dinner

I recently gave birth to DS3 at Kapi`olani Medical Center for Women and Children, and although it's been a little over two years since I gave birth to DS2 there, things have sure changed-for the better!

One thing that's changed is the Celebration Dinner.  Previously, the dinner consisted of salad, chicken cordon bleu, cheesecake, and a drink for you and your partner, but now they've expanded the menu to include other options for your main entree and dessert!

The dinner starts off with a Traditional Ceasars' Salad

The main entree choices include: Grilled Steak with Sauteed Fresh Mushrooms, Chicken Cordon Bleu, or Furikake Salmon with Ginger-Lemon-Butter Sauce, with a choice of Steamed White Rice, Steamed Brown Rice or Whipped Potatoes.

DH ordered the salmon.

He enjoyed it.

I ordered the chicken.

I didn't enjoy the chicken the first two times I had it (I just don't like stuffed chicken), but since I don't eat salmon or beef, I ordered the chicken again.  I didn't enjoy it this time around too.

For dessert you have the option of Cheesecake with Fresh Strawberry and Strawberry Drizzle or Fresh Fruit Platter with Yogurt Dip.

Of course I had the Cheesecake!
It was my favorite part of the meal.  It was sooooo delicious!

They also gave us a bottle of Sparkling Cider--something that we didn't receive before.

Overall, the food at KMCWC is good--all the meals I had were tasty and filling, and the celebration dinner is a really nice touch.

Although I didn't like the chicken, I liked everything else (especially the dessert)!

It was a nice meal to end my stay at the hospital.

  2. Congratulations on having another child! That had to make you happy.

Your dinner sounds better than the all liquid diet I was put on at Straub. LOL. I like stuffed chicken.
