Visit Kaua`i: Dani's Restaurant (Closing November 11)

*I had this post scheduled to publish in a few weeks, but just found out Dani's is closing tomorrow, 11/11*

Dani's Restaurant is a must-stop when on Kaua`i.  Serving local-style comfort food and familiar faves, Dani's has been satisfying residents and visitors alike for years.  

I decided to have a special of the day - Chili Pepper Chicken and Pork Belly with Gravy.

The Chili Pepper Chicken consisted of morsels of fried chicken with a chili pepper sauce.  It wasn't too spicy, and reminded me of Korean Fried Chicken.  The Pork Belly was good - the gravy is a must!  

It was a lot of food and all so yummy!

Kalua Pig, Poi, Lomi Salmon

They were out of Lau Lau, so my friend got the Kalua Pig and Lomi Salmon, and he requested poi (for extra) vs rice. 

Half & Half

The food was great and the service was too.
