Kamukura Ramen Celebrates Grand Opening October 1

Kamukura Ramen opened their first shop in 1986 in Dotonbori, Osaka hoping to rejuvenate their guests after a night out with their delicious ramen and broth inspired by French consomme.  Over 30 years later, Kamukura Ramen is celebrating the grand opening of their first overseas location and 100th location worldwide Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Lanai in Ala Moana Center. On the day of the grand opening, customers that purchase ramen will receive a free mini fried chicken (while supplies last).

Hawaii Mom Blog was a guest at the media event this week and I got to sample a couple of the different ramen, gyoza, and the fried chicken.  All ramen noodles are made by Kamukura and imported directly from Japan while the Hakusai cabbage is locally sourced.  The broth is top secret.

Signature Oishi Ramen

Exclusive to Hawaii: Cheese Tomato Ramen. Make it a risotto combo after eating the ramen by adding rice and extra cheese! Tasty, interesting, and definitely a must try!

Breakfast boxes: Salmon Rice, Shiso Rice, Mentaiko Rice and Takana Rice

Exclusive to Hawaii are the Fried Rice and Kimchi Fried Rice!
Gyoza and Chicken Karaage are both flavorful and delicious!

Gorgeous counter seating with a great view of the kitchen!

Executive Chef and GM, Nao, explains they chose the first overseas location to be in Hawaii because it is a meeting place for people around the world.

Morning menu is available from 9am - 11am and the grand menu is served from 10:30am to 7:30pm (Monday through Thursday) and 10am to 8pm (Friday through Sunday).  Follow their Instagram @kamukura_usa and be on the lookout for a second location coming to Waikiki in the spring of 2023.
