Rainbow Drive-In

Four years ago, after a Waikiki staycation, I went to Rainbow Drive-In for the first time because I wanted a Slush Float and a Boneless Chicken with Gravy (all over).

Ever since, I have made it a tradition to stop at Rainbow Drive-In (as long as time permits) on the way home from a Waikiki staycation, so I can indulge in a Slush Float and a Boneless Chicken with Gravy (and I don't need to cook lunch/dinner that day).

Sometimes, I end up going on Mother's Day, because coincidentally that just happens to be the day we check-out of the hotel.

And I don't mind going there for Mother's Day, even though it's always very crowded, because I love comfort food, and what's more comforting than a plate lunch with gravy all over, and a delicious, refreshing slush float?

I'm already looking forward to the next Waikiki staycation so I can make a stop at Rainbow Drive-In on the way home!
