No7 Poke n' Roll

I was bummed when I passed by Scoop of Paradise a while ago and saw it was shut down, but then I saw @islandbag's story that No 7 Japanese Food Truck moved out of their truck and into the space as No7 Poke n' Roll!

Chicken Karaage

Da Combo included Spicy Garlic Poke and Chicken Karaage

Spicy Miso Poke

Katsu Curry Rice

Fried Chicken Curry Rice

I had the Chicken Karaage from the food truck last time and it was delicious.  This time I had the Fried Chicken Curry Rice (basically the karaage with a tasty curry), and it was also delicious!

The prices are reasonable, the portions are great, and you get quality, flavorful food.

Congrats to No 7 Poke n' Roll on the new brick-and-mortar!

Tsue's Farm

We've driven past Tsue's Farm hundreds of times (literally), but it wasn't until recently did we stop to check it out.

We primarily went there to eat. They have a limited menu of plate lunches.

Spicy Garlic Shrimp

Shrimp Combo

Bo Spesho

Kalua Pork

Each plate comes with rice, salad, and pineapple.

I had the Bo Spesho, which came with teri chicken and noodles.  The teri chicken was more like shoyu chicken in my opinion, and was pretty salty.  The noodles were okay.  The plates are pretty pricey at $19 or $20.

My sons loved the Garlic Shrimp and Kalua Pork.

For $5, you can get a heaping mound of shave ice.  For $1 extra you can add on toppings (like condensed milk).

It was so refreshing.

There are animals on the farm - mostly just goats and a turtle, and you can even pick fruit (for a fee).

There is no fee to just walk through the farm, and if you're lucky, the employee may have some lettuce for you to feed the goats.

The farm is also a launching point for kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders, and there were a lot of people who were coming through to rent kayaks or stand-up paddle boards to go down to the Anahulu River.

Tsue Farm was a nice spot to check out for a morning.  There was plenty of shade so you could enjoy your lunch or shave ice in comfort.

Wicked Hi Pizza

We wanted to get something easy to eat at the beach, so we picked up pizza from Wicked Hi Pizza.  We've had their pizzas before at their cafe, and I just love their honey slushes!

Honey Dragonfruit Lemon Slush
While we waited for our pizzas to be made, we had some Honey Dragronfruit Lemon Slush.  I just love that drizzle of honey - it really turns an already great slush into something so amazing!

Meat Lover
The Meat Lover comes with your choice of meat (we opted for Pepperoni).  It had a nice amount of cheese and pepperoni.  I do wish the crust was a bit crisper, but it did have some nice char on parts.
Hawaiian Lava
The Hawaiian Lava has smoked ham pineapple, and a local spice lava honey drizzle.
Garlic Cheesy Bread

I loved the hint of honey on the Garlic Cheesy Bread.

Crispy Grindz

We've passed the Crispy Grindz food truck numerous times, but it wasn't until recently that we tried it.

They offer both sweet and savory foods.

Acai Bowl
Acai Smoothie
Pastel
Pastels are essentially deep fried won ton wraps with all sorts of fillings.  They are huge, and may be difficult to finish in one sitting (I could barely finish a 1/3 at one time, and one of my kids could only finish half - we of course saved the rest for later).

I had the Brazilian Pastel, which was filled with corn, bacon, and ground beef - very delicious!

Coxinha
I loved the Coxinha, which are deep fried balls filled with chicken. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the surrounding dough was perfectly crisp on the outside.  They were so tasty!

Pao de Queijo

I loved the Pao de Quejio as well.  This Brazilian cheese bread was just addicting - I could've eaten the entire bowl!

Crispy Grindz is definitely now a new-to-me fave in Haleiwa!

Jax Wood Fired Pizza

In the mood for pizza, we ordered take-out from Jax Wood Fired Pizza in Haleiwa to eat at the beach.
BBQ Pork

The BBQ pizza was really good, with a tangy BBQ Sauce.  Topped with mozzarella, kalua pork, jalapenos, red onion, and cilantro, this was my favorite pizza of the two we ordered.

I thought I would really like the Da Kine pizza the most, but I felt the sauce was underseasoned.  The pizza was topped with bacon, kalua pork, sausage, and pepperoni.

Da Kine

I thought the Bread Sticks were pretty tasty.
Bread Sticks

I thought the crusts were a little too flimsy on the pizzas, but they had a nice char, and our pizza cravings were satisfied!

Online ordering makes take-out a cinch.

Seven Brothers Haleiwa

Seven Brothers may be known for their burgers, but I love to go there because of the fries!

We recently went to the Haleiwa location, the newest location to open up on O`ahu.

Keiki Grilled Cheese

I don't eat burgers or much seafood, so I got the Keiki Grilled Cheese, which comes with the seasoned fries.  It was a satisfying meal.

Crazy Fries

I did have to get the Crazy Fries also, which is topped with caramelized onions, cheese, and their house sauce.  So delish!

Paniolo
The Paniolo was stacked high with onion rings, pineapple, bacon, and cheese.

Spencer
If you like spicy, you'll enjoy the Spencer which comes with jalapeno, bacon, Swiss, an onion ring, and a spicy blue cheese ranch.
Shem Burger
The Shem Burger comes with guac, bacon, and American cheese.

Seven Brothers also offers shakes!

We got to Seven Brothers just after it opened, and there was already a short line.  There is ample seating inside and out, and we noticed 45 minutes after opening, there was no line and still plenty of seating.

The food and service were both great, and I'm happy that this third location opened up!

Teddy's Bigger Burgers Haleiwa

I know Teddy's Bigger Burgers has great burgers (according to friends and fam), but I personally love the non-burger items, specifically the chicken sandwiches and tots (the crispiest tots ever!).

We went to the Haleiwa Store Lots location recently, where we indulged in some delicious eats and shakes.

Volcano Burger

As you may expect, the Volcano Burger is spicy, with jalapenos and and Jack cheese.

Kaneohe Burger
The Kaneohe Burger comes with bacon, avocado, and cheddar.

Double Cheeseburger

Chicken Tenders

I shared the Chicken Tenders with one of my kids.  It sure hit the spot - crispy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside.

Considering how prices have gone up at most restaurants, I think the burgers at Teddy's are priced well compared to other restaurants who serve similar styles of burgers (that are not nearly as good - again - according to friends and fam).

Service was friendly and we all enjoyed our visit!

Nalu Health Bar & Cafe - Haleiwa

The last time I tried to go to Nalu Health Bar & Cafe in Haleiwa, the line was out the door, and there was no parking, so I decided to pass on it.  Fortunately, this go-around, I planned ahead, ordered online, and there was plenty of parking!

Grilled Cheese

Ahi Wrap

Roast Beef Sandwich

Steak Sandwich

Portobello Sandwich

I had the Portobello Sandwich, and it was very tasty.  The mushroom was marinated in a balsamic, and it was served with red onions, tomato, lettuce, and a papaya Dijon. All of the flavors worked well together!

The Grilled Cheese consisted of Swiss, Cheddar, and Provolone cheeses.

The sandwiches and wrap were stuffed, and served with a small side salad.  Sandwiches are served on ciabatta; wraps are served on a spinach tortilla.

Nalu Health Bar & Cafe was a nice spot for sandwiches to-go!

Kua `Āina

Kua `Āina has been a fixture in Haleiwa Town for decades, and have since expanded internationally.  We were in Haleiwa one day, and decided to get lunch from this popular burger spot.

Cheeseburger

Turkey Bacon Cheese with Cheddar

Chicken Sandwich with Bacon, Grilled Onions, Monterey Jack

You can choose your own type of bread and additional toppings (lettuce and tomato are standard) for any sandwich or burger you pick.

I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and added Bacon, Grilled Onions, and Monterey Jack.  It was a great sandwich - very filling, and the chicken was pretty tender.  They did not skimp on the grilled onions!

Definitely check out Kua `Āina for great burgers and sandwiches!

Stonefish Grill

Stonefish Grill opened up in Haleiwa not too long ago. I've been wanting to try it because of the Heart Attack Fries on the menu - fries covered with cheese, bacon, and gravy.  YUM!
Heart Attack Fries

They forgot the green onions, but it was still good.

Tasty Garlic Shrimp

The Tasty Garlic Shrimp appetizer was like a meal in itself - it even came with rice!

Bri's KC Chicken Sandwich

I had the chicken sandwich, which was really tasty! The chicken sandwich was tender, and the BBQ and honey mustard sauces added tangy, sweet, and sour flavors to the sandwich.  I also added bacon, since I can hardly ever resist bacon.

Seafood Chowder

Ola Boy's Fish Katsu

809 Burger

A keiki menu is also available.
Kid's Quesadilla

I thought the service was excellent, and I look forward to returning!
