Hawaiian Electric Company Continues to Power a Whole Watt of Support During Holiday Season

For years the tree lighting at Pu’u o Kaimuki Mini Park has been a beloved tradition for many local residents, marking the official start to the holiday season. The illuminated Christmas tree sits about 40 feet above Pu’u o Kaimuki Mini Park and features multi-colored, energy-efficient LED light strands atop a steel base. And it’s thanks in large part to the tree-mendous support from Hawaiian Electric Company who provides the manpower, bucket trucks, supplies and energy-efficient LED light strands, as well as the City & County of Honolulu for organizing this festive effort.

This year, Keep it Kaimuki is delighted to share the Pu’u O Kaimuki Christmas Tree lighting virtually during their annual Keep it Kaimuki Saturday event on Saturday, November 26. Viewers can tune in at 6 p.m. to Keep it Kaimuki Instagram (@keepitkaimuki) to watch the virtual tree lighting live.
