I had a not so pleasant dine-in experience at Rise and Shine Cafe the last time I visited, but I like the food and love the desserts, so I decided to just do take-out recently for breakfast / lunch.

I ordered online, but the desserts had to be ordered in-store.

I had the Breakfast Burrito, which was filled with eggs, bacon, chorizo, potatoes, and cheddar. It was small, but I thought it was satisfying, and I wish it came with something on the side (like more potatoes or tortilla chips).

The rest of the fam enjoyed the food, although we did email the restaurant to let them know that whomever packed the food put butter at the bottom of a plastic bag, and the warm containers of pancakes on top of them, resulting in a big, oily mess.

The desserts were delightful! The Strawberry Mousse Cheesecake was very light, the Tres Leches Cake was so moist, and the Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting is a chocolate-lover's dream!
