News Release: Nominations Sought For Love's 2nd Annual Spirit of Giving Program Benefitting Nonprofit Organizations Across Hawai‘i

Building on the success of its 2021 program, Franz Family Bakery, in partnership with Love’s Holding Company and Hawaii Foodservice Alliance, is pleased to announce its Love’s 2nd Annual Spirit of Giving program in support of nonprofits across the state. This year also marks the 171st Anniversary of the Love’s brand.

Nominations for verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations across the Hawaiian Islands are being sought now through August 14. Nominations can be made online at www.lovesbakery.com. A total of $50,000 will be awarded this year to nonprofits in Hawai’i that make a difference.

“Giving back has always been a focus for Franz Family Bakery and we are proud to double our giving efforts to the communities in Hawai’i to $50,000 this year, said Kim Albers-Nisbet, President of Franz Family Bakery. “We are honored to support those who make Hawai‘i a better place. The response received last year with over 400 submissions was incredible and we are thrilled for the opportunity to give back more to organizations that positively impact families and communities across Hawai‘i. We are thankful for the partnership with Hawaii Foodservice Alliance to continue this initiative.”

In 2021, the Love Spirit of Giving program donated a total of $25,000 with the following 10 nonprofit organizations receiving $2,500 each: Adult Friends for Youth, Aloha Diaper Bank, Aloha Harvest, Child and Family Service Ewa Beach, Hawaii Science and Technology Museum, Kihei Youth Center, Make A Wish Hawaii, Palama Settlement, Special Olympics Kauai, and Women’s Fund
of Hawaii.
