HOLEY GRAIL DONUTS INTRODUCES NEW SUMMER FLAVORS INSPIRED BY THE PINEAPPLE

It’s Pineapple season and Holey Grail Donuts is set to deliver some of Hawaii’s favorite summertime fruits. Offerings the week of August 5th – 11th will highlight one of Hawaii’s popular cultivar, the pineapple! The popular Pineapple Express donut will be re-imagined with a glaze made with a blend of locally grown pineapple , including Frankie’s Nursery’s proprietary “Mele Kalima” pineapples. “Mele Kalima” is a hybrid between the “Dry Sweet” and “Hilo White” varietals. Its light yellow flesh features a honeyed sweetness and creamy texture which will be blended with other local pineapple juice for added intensity. The resulting glaze will translate beautifully onto a donut, especially when accented with a chiffonade of Thai basil. Paired with the pineapple express, donut crusaders can enjoy a new nitro-infused Plantation Tea, available on tap, incorporating a shot of freshly juiced golden pineapple into oolong pineapple coconut tea!

In addition to the pineapple express donut, the week’s tasting box incorporates another summertime favorite – pink dragon fruit. The dragon slayer donut is a fan favorite, making the Tasting Box a stunning feast for the eyes. Fruit flavors are rounded out with the popular miso honey and Theobroma donuts.
