Ippudo x Sun Noodle

I've heard that Ippudo, a worldwide ramen chain, is one of the best places for ramen. I've never gotten to try them during any of my travels, so when I was offered the opportunity to get an Ippudo x Sun Noodle collab kit, I jumped at the chance!

I'm already a huge fan of Sun Noodle, and have used their ramen kits at home, so I was very eager to try Ippudo's famous tonkotsu broth with Sun Noodle's Hakata noodles.

The kit is $20, and comes with pork broth, chashu, Karaka miso paste, and two servings of noodles.

A handy card with step-by-step instructions tells you how to create a tasty bowl of ramen.

Simply heat up the broth, Karaka paste, and chashu, cook the noodles, then add everything to your bowl.  

Add whatever toppings you have on hand to your preference (I added egg, fish cake, green onions, and kai choi).

The rich, yet silky-smooth broth was amazing - it's no wonder that Ippudo's tonkotsu broth is so popular!  And I love that the slow-clooked, tender chashu was included.  What a treat!

The second serving of noodles is called "Kae-dama.  Simply add more noodles to your leftover broth!
