Sun Noodle, the leading manufacturer of fresh ramen and Asian noodle products, announced today that it will collaborate with Ippudo on a prepared frozen fresh ramen kit for sale on the Sun Noodle online store. This will be the first time that Ippudo is offering a frozen fresh prepared tonkotsu ramen kit, the first time that Ippudo products will be sold to customers across the country and the first time that Sun Noodle’s custom Hakata style noodles, created exclusively for Ippudo, will be featured in Sun Noodle’s prepared line.
Known for their shiromaru tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen, this kit will feature Ippudo’s famous tonkotsu broth along with their Karaka miso paste, a spicy condiment that can be added to taste. Home chefs will also receive two servings of the Hakata noodles, a thin Sun Noodle ramen noodle made exclusively for Ippudo, and chashu toppings.
“We are honored and excited to bring Ippudo’s beloved tonkotsu ramen to our customers across the country,” said Hidehito Uki, founder and CEO of Sun Noodle. “Sun Noodle ramen kits offer a way for ramen lovers to continue to support our restaurant partners from the comfort of their own homes.”
Founded by the Noodle King Shigemi Kawahara in 1985, Ippudo has 127 ramen shops throughout Japan and 125 shops in 15 countries across the globe.
“Ippudo is so pleased to partner with our friends at Sun Noodle on our first prepared kits,” said Ryota Yano, president of Ippudo USA. “We share in their mission to spread the love of ramen all over the world.”
The kits can be pre-ordered starting on Dec. 16 at the Sun Noodle online store at sunnoodle.com. Orders will be shipped nationwide (excluding Alaska) starting on Jan. 4. Hawaii residents can pick up their orders at Sun Noodle’s Kalihi facility on Jan. 4.
The Ippudo kit joins Sun Noodle’s other chef-driven collaborations for sale at its online shop. Visit sunnoodle.com to learn more and browse Sun Noodle’s selection of retail products.
