New on Tuesdays at Merriman's Honolulu - Mucho Mahalo Menu

New each Tuesday night at Merriman's Honolulu is the Mucho Mahalo Menu, inspired by the chefs' visit to Mexico City.

Tostadas de Atun

Aguachile de Camaron
The first course on the Mucho Mahalo Menu was a duo of dishes: Tostadas de Atún (Ahi Tuna Tostada) and Aguachile de Camarón (Shrimp Bathed in Lime, Chile, and Cilantro).  The Tostada was not as crispy as I had expected it to be, but the toppings were delish.

The Shrimp was accompanied with Molokai Sweet Potato Chips.  It was a nice, light dish.
Jicama with Worm Salt
The mid course was Jicama with Worm Salt.  Slices of Jicama were dusted with salt made up of ground worms.  Yes - ground worms!  The salt was smokey and spicy.

Salsa Roja Kona Kampachi
The Salsa Roja Kona Kampachi (fish changes depends on what is fresh) was amazing.  The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned.  It was definitely the highlight of the new menu.

The Mucho Mahalo Menu is just $49 per person, and is quite a deal!

In addition to the Mucho Mahalo Menu, you can still order Merriman's faves off of the regular menu.
Chow Fun with Shrimp & Pork
The Chow Fun with Shrimp & Pork is one of my favorite items on the menu at Merriman's.  The dish was so tasty, with huge chunks of pork and shrimp.

Organic Taro Enchiladas
The Organic Taro Enchiladas were smothered with aged cheddar and a very spicy enchilada sauce.  I love spicy, but this was a bit too spicy for my liking.  The entire dish was composed beautifully, however, and the taro itself was flavorful and filling.

Churros
For dessert we indulged in some yummy Churros!

Don't miss out on the new Mucho Mahalo Menu - only on Tuesday nights at Merriman's Honolulu!
